Welcome !
Middle school is an interesting time in the lives of students- it’s a period of rapid change, new experiences, growth and development, and sometimes disappointments and challenges. Developmentally, some of the major themes are friendship expansion, cognitive changes (which enable kids to think more reflectively and abstractly), physical maturation, heightened emotional awareness, and increased interaction with peers who may view the world differently from each other.
Our goal as counselors is to promote the healthy social, emotional, and academic development of our students, and to help them to learn to make responsible decisions. We do this through individual and group counseling, academic guidance, supporting school-wide programs, collaborating with teachers and other professionals in our school, consulting with parents, and connecting families with community resources that they might find helpful.
I encourage you to check back to this site regularly as useful information and links for parents and students will be added. Also, please feel free to contact me whenever you have any questions or concerns. I will be the counselor for all students whose last name begins with the letters A through K.
Sincerely,
Michael Ermanni
